Parking
Parking in Bergen Aan Zee is subject to charges during the months of March to October. It is checked regularly.
-Parking fee from 10:00 to 19:00;
-Parking costs in Bergen Aan Zee: € 1,90 per hour, € 10,00 per day.
-Most hotels and apartments have a parking permit for their guests. Disabled persons can use the parking spaces free of charge with their disabled parking card.
Dune card
Access to the northern nature reserve Schoorlse Duinen is free, for the southern Noordhollands Duinreservaat you need a dune card, an admission card. There are day, week and year tickets available at various points of sale. You can buy a day pass at the ticket machine at the entrance or with your smartphone. Most accommodations in Bergen Aan Zee include an admission card with your stay.
Beach safety
The Bergen Rescue Brigade is responsible for the safety of beach lovers during the summer season. On the signs at the beach entrances you will find information on how to swim safely in the sea. Respect the North Sea, it is not a harmless bathing lake. In addition, there are some rules to be followed, such as where and when dogs and horses are allowed on the beach or the use of canoes and boats.
